Hi everyone! I've been selling pumpkins here for a few years now and have learned a few things but still would like to know what kind of pumpkins I can grow to sell beside Hokaido, Gelbe Zentner, etc...
I sold a lot of smaller Halloween pumpkins in prior years because people probably cooked a lot of them to eat.
What I've found this year with Howden Field and Connecticut Field is that I'm not selling very many. Maybe people think they are too big to eat or they simply can't fit them in their bicycle baskets.
I know I'll sell more big Halloween pumpkins as Halloween approaches so I can better estimate how many to plant next year but I'd love to know what has sold well in europe for other growers.
Best regards from Merklingen/Weil der Stadt! Michel
