I sent some seeds off today to a grower in Poland and that got me thinking.
Is there anyone out there who would like to work with me to get a GPC weigh off out there?
We didn’t have one in the UK so we started one which is not as difficult you might think.

Last year there were four contestants at the Polish weigh-off (Wroclaw) and the year before just 1, so I am not sure if there are enough participants for a GPC weigh-off there.

Belgium

Do you need to have more growers?
Sweden has a GPC weigh-off and in 2010 there are only 6 pumpkins from 5 different growers listed.

And the GPC weigh-off in Kaiserslautern only has 5 pumpkins and 1 squash listed.

And even in the states theere are GPC weigh-offs with less then 10 fruits entered.

You don’t have to have ten pumpkins in fact one would be fine. All it needs is plenty of enthusiasm, the min $100 and all the growers get to have a couple of beers and a great day in the autumn.This about growers getting to see all their hard work recognised.
