Especially this weekend and next will be exciting to see who is in the race to win the European title and perhaps a new European record.

There are a few pumpkins out there taping in the 1500-1650 lb region.

So what are the top three this year and what will they weigh?

No. 2 Andreas Baumert Germany 1577 lbs
No. 3 Bartjan van Ralte Netherlands 1534 lbs
Other growers in top ten europe 2011 will be Robert Jaser Germany, Beni Maier Switzerland and Mehdi Daho France, my guess is that they all will be in the 1300-1500 range.
There will be atleast 10 Different growers in Europe this year over 1300 lbs I think.

So far the results are (depending on how many pounds to kilograms you use for the conversion):

1472.2 Baumert/Teichert (Team Heavy East)
1444 jef leysen
1334 luc berrens
1297 Anders Lilja
1296 herman boonen
1292 Bartjan Van Raalte
1167 Beni Meier
1129.5 Daho Mehdi

This list is not all the big ones in Europe jsut the ones of growers that were previously mentioned, and soem growers that were not mentioned.

BTW if you want to save your self the time of viewing the "European Championship" next Sunday, then just read this list, pretty much says it all....LOL

Of course we don't have the big favortie yet, their AG is still to be weighed and is something that I am looking forward to, no one broke 700 this year....yet.
