On October, 1 the traditional (7th year now) Swedish weigh-off took place at Solberga Gård on the island of Öland. There were rumours of pumpkins approaching 500 kgs but the two very biggest ones split and did not make it to the weigh-off. Anyway the old Swedish record of 343 kgs was beaten by 58 kgs. Here are the results:
1 Dan Johansson, Mörrum 401 kgs 2 Lars Örnskov (Eaglewood) Åsa 318 kgs 3 Anders Lilja, Ålem 311 kgs 4 Peter Kjellberg, Värmlands Nysäter267 kgs 5 Sune Sigvardsson, Algutsrum 218 kgs 6 Crister Folkemark, Borgholm 136 kg
