Ok Ive got Plenty of options as far as Manure goes
I have acess to
Sheep / Cow / Horse / Rabbit Manure
Problem is all of this stuff I have acess to would be fresh non composted.
With this being added in Late Sept and tilled in well would 7 months before 2005 growing season be more then enough to break this stuff down so it wouldnt burn the roots of the plants ?
Next what manure would you suggest and how much ?
I know Rabbit manure isnt very strong and seems to be high in N But i hear Sheep manure fresh is VERY strong and takes a long time to break down.
whats your thoughts
P.S soil samples are going out in the AM to Agri Labratories and i should have the results back within 2 weeks

My soil last year was pretty crappy, so I put in 6-8 inches of fresh horse manure (along with some other stuff, leaves and compost etc) the first week of October last year and by April it was well broken down. I'm weighing my baby this week after it developed a small pinhole on the blossom, but it's taping around 765 lbs. I'm putting in more next week. Alan

I've used fresh dairy manure straight from the piles.Spread it 4-6" deep on the patch in October. By spring it still looks like manure some of it even smells. I have had no problems in the patch that I relate to the "age" of the manure. My K+ level has gone sky high but that is related to the use of the dairy manure not the "age" of it. Even composted it would still be very high. I have no idea which would be best. When in doubt use equal parts of all four.

I would do a soil test FIRST. Aged Horse is nice when potash levels are low.
