Hey Doc I have read some of your posts regarding mollases. You say that it is the sugar that the bacteria are after. When I ask about it at garden centers and even one of the local farm supply stores all I get are blank stares. Would a few pounds of regular sugar fed through a hose end type feeder work? Providing that it was well watered in? Just a thought. Thanks Eric

I understand you could even till in regular sugar for kitchen use, correct Doc? But at what amount per 1000 sq. ft? And how long should it be in the soil before one can plant the seedlings?

Sounds like a good method of application. Just a little word of caution Sugar + Fertiliser (the next logical step) = Bomb.

If you folks will E me I will attach the Molasses data sheet for you.
Any carbohydrate will feed your bacteria which is what this does. Black Strap Molasses offer so much more in other benefits too.
Plain old sugar is about as good for your garden as an overload of McDonalds milk shakes and fries would be for your body.
