My organic material is just 2.98%. What can I add this spring to safely raise my number? Also what is a good OM to shoot for? My patch will be on virgin ground and has never been tilled. 3600 sq feet

Compost is always good if available. Peat moss will also work well if you don't need to raise nutrients.

3,000sq ft will take a lot of peat at 4.00- 7.00 a bale.. Stick to the compost at 20-30.00 per yard. I'd say O.M % over 6 is ideal for most of us growers.
