I am going to grow AG in two seperate places next season. One is small but in an area I can provide shade and misters in our hot dry climate of Central California. The second is where I grow my vegetable garden each year and is located where a Pecan orchard had been for many years.
Location 1 Organic Matter - 2.2% Nitrogen - 69 ppm Phosphorus Weak Break- 27 ppm Phosphorus NaHCO3P - 30 ppm Potassium - 145 ppm Magnesium - 378 ppm Calcium - 2737 ppm Sodium - 131 ppm Sulfur - 61 ppm Zinc - 2.8 ppm Manganese - 24 ppm Iron - 17 ppm Copper - 2.6 ppm Boron - .4 ppm Chloride - 0
Percent Cation Saturation K - 2.1% Mg - 17.5% Ca - 77.1% Na - 3.2%
ECe - 1.3 CEC 17.7 Ex. Lime L pH 7.2
Soil Fertility Guidelines (rate: lb/1000 sq ft) Phosphate - 1.0 Potash - 3.5
Location 2 OM - .8% Nitrogen - 2 ppm Phosphorus Weak Break - 13 ppm Phosphorus NaHCO3P - 25 ppm Potassium - 67 ppm Magnesium - 262 ppm Calcium - 979 ppm Sodium - 23 ppm Sulfur - 1 ppm Zinc - .3 ppm Manganese - 7 ppm Iron - 9 ppm Copper - .5 ppm Boron - .1 ppm Chloride - 0
Percent Cation Saturation K - 2.3% Mg - 29.1% Ca - 65.8% Na - 1.3%
ECe - 0.3 CEC - 7.4 Ex. Lime - L pH - 6.9
Soil Fertility Guidlines (rate: lb/1000 sq ft) Nitrogen - 2.7 Phosphate - 1.0 Potash - 4.0 Sulfur - 0.7
Any advice?

I should add I have been saving up lawn clippings and oak and Liquid Amber Leaves. I also have access to horse and cow manure and old hay bales for free.

If you are rototiling add horse and/or cow compost, about 4 inches, Then rototil it. Next spring have a soil test done and see if your Ca,K, and OM have increased.
