hi everyone,
i received my soil test today. i wonder if i could have input about results,and suggestions on improvements if needed. results. ph-6.8..exchangeable cations meq/100gm..k-1.3..mg-2.5 ca-17.1..cec-18.8..p lb/a-700.
% sat of cec
k-6.7..mg-13.4..ca-79.8. organic mater 9.9%
cec percents calculated using max exchangeable ca level. 15meq/100gm.
chart
soil ph-mid optimum range phosphate-lower above range potash-lower above range magnesium-mid above range calcium-above range just below end of chart.

Sweet....The purist would want to see the Calcium come up a bit. I would too.
100 lbs of Gypsum per 1000 sq ft.
The Penn State lab people might disagree with this but they're not Giant Pumpkin people.
The chart values of P & K are disturbingly vague. Perhaps you can call the lab & ask for lbs per Acre or PPM values.
You might also benefit from a small amount of commercial fert like 19-19-19 but without the real values I hesitate to say.
