hey all, is there one company in the USA that is known as the best soil testing lab for atlantic giants? i am looking to send in some samples soon to be tested and i would like to get as many opinions out there as to which company provides the most accurate testing and also provides the best recommendations for adjustments based on giant pumpkin growers' experiences.
all input is greatly appreciated and please list a contact or website address in your follow up posts.
thanks shazzy

That is very true, plus C&J comes with recommendations from a seasoned grower.

C & J Products has experience and products, to help build a better, stronger plant. That, rings well, in my ears. That was my feeling before Craig waded, in with me, to solve some, of the mysteries, of better soil as well.

Keep something in mind when shopping for a lab. Different labs use different testing methods depending on the predominate soil types the lab services. Try to find a lab that is certified for your areas soil. For example, I send my samples to A&L Eastern which is certified for WV soils. A&L Western is also a fine lab, but is not certified for WV Soils. Research your lab or you could get faulty results.

I used AgriEnergy Resources, Inc. located in Princeton, Il. They are member of Illinois Soil Testing Association, North American Proficiency Testing, Soil and Plant Analysis Council. Hey, maybe none of that means anything- who knows? But, my first year I used SoilTech, Inc. located in Arlington, Il. Both labs took time to discuss the soil test results with me over the phone. In fact, I talked with the agronomist from AgriEnergy really long which I found facinating. The man from Soiltech was very helpful too. Personally, I think AgriEnergy had better advise and somewhat more professionalism. My only complaint was they waited for a week to do my test. But, I liked the format of the analysis. They also do micro-nutrient testing. I can send you a copy of their test result form... see what you think about it. Greg
