LJ, nice looking fruit this year! Those look like growth stretch marks. Good sign the pumpkin is growing! Keep them dry and you should be fine.

Growth splits. However if they do not heal over but get worse, here is a diary you should read starting around August 9

Looks like a healthy pumpkin to me. Those splits seem to be normal for the 1161 Rodonis line... which I think you've got there. Very macho--the chicks may dig.
