Normal growth split but just in case the split gets bigger and into the pumpkin I would suggest you read this diary. Look at around August. And I have an answer to another question you asked in a different topic board if you want.

Thank you Spudder . I'm not sure if that diary thread is motivational or depressing. I hope I don't have Stem Split drama for the rest of the season. Yes to the another question answered - I appreciate all the help I can get.

You asked if there was any benefit to using compost tea early. Also Holland sells a product called Spring Wake Up which is what you are talking about using compost tea for. Remember warmer the soil the better it works.

Spudder, just an update. Put Fan on it 24hrs a day, and the Stem split never progressed all season. Guess I was lucky.
