I was wondering if anyone new if downy or powdery mildew from my pumpkins could spread to my collection of evergreens?

i dunno, myself, but you could google about the evergreens you have and see if they are susceptible - else, the mildew(s) is in the air and will get on everything that IS susceptible anyway.

now, i am merely tooling around for info because i like to research this and did not know that Powdery and Downy are from TWO very-different pathogens, which is why it's so hard to even have them on the same PAGE let alone use the same REMEDY - so,
my computer is too slow and aggravating to find and convey very much, but the below link had a lot to say that i found informative - at least a place to start, along with what everyone else will tell you---eg

Hello, Harvest! I'm located here in the Pacific Northwest, home to many Douglas Fir trees. Powdery mildew is all over the place in my neighborhood and I've never seen it on a Douglas Fir or the small redwoods in my yard. Powdery mildew likes roses, pumpkin plants, and gourd plants. I would be much more concerned about PM growing on your pumpkin plants.

No. There are different strains of powdery that affect vegetables vs. roses, lilacs, ect.
