I used to grow giant pumpkins back in 2005. It has been a long time since I grew a pumpkin. Feeling like a newbie again.
I have seeds from way back in 2005. They are sitting in a freezer. Not sure if they are good anymore. Do I need to get new seeds at this point? If so, is there anyone out there I can buy seeds from? I would like my best chance for a big, orange pumpkin.
I would also like some basic advice from any of the midwesterners. I used to live in California and now live out in Ohio.
Thanks for your help.

You're right in our neighborhood. We're the Southern Ohio Giant Pumpkin Growers Association and our weigh-off is held in Hamilton, OH on the first Friday in October as part of Hamilton's Operation Pumpkin festival. Check out our Facebook page under the same name as our association and our website at sogpg.com. We currently have a membership initiative going until May 1st and your paid membership of $25.00 will get you into a random drawing for one of the following seeds: 2008 Neptune(current state record), 1964 Liggett, 1844 Rose, or 1585.5 Werner. You can contact me directly at jgerchy@columbus.rr.com or through our website. Good luck this year!
