From reading the forums it seems some growers put blankets on their pumpkins to keep them warm at night.

It's starting to cool down at night around here and I am wondering at what temperature should you start putting a blankets on your pumpkins to keep them warm?

I always have a white sheet on the pumpkins (take off occasionally) and use a white blanket also incase I cant get it off in time. I cover with blanket when temps. are below 70 or a little more so, pretty much everyday lately. put it on a couple hrs. before sunset.

I've tucked mine in like a little baby all summer long. Been in the low 50's every night :( I overkill most everything I do,,,,,,, I use 3 king size comforters. They go on at 6pm and come off at about 7am.

Don't know if its helping,,,,,,,,, but why not ;)

So I guess it's time then!

The neighbors just came back from a longer vacation to find sun shades over the pumpkins. The comforters will really throw them.
