Ok, the kids and I have 4 seedlings. They are 2 days old. We are wondering do we use fertilizer on them or is that when they are planted out? We are planning to plant out in about 7 more days. Also, do the seedlings like to keep their leaves dry or do you mist them when watering? Thanks!

time to start acclimatied them to the sun.......couple hours of morning sun.......and a couple late day sun....increase each day........so they don't get sun burned........them get in the patch when you see first true leaf

Great reminder about hardening them off. The first true leaf is starting to peak out. It will be cold the next two nights and then we might go for planting on later in the week. Thanks so much!

Stay away from fertilizer until the plant is 4/5 leaves.Less is more when you do fertilize.

Best fertilizer at this stage is enough room for roots and sun many time you can, agree with cojoe, not enough strong to start a program fert. Dry is the best way to prevent diseases, but foliar spray encourage the health of the plant like fish, seaweed........... good luck!
