I uploaded a video to show the exact site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2g2aBFP-No
Plot is 15ft wide by almost 40ft long. No soil test, original soil was medium to heavy clay. Amended with a mix of mushroom compost, cow manure, and store bought top soil, roughly 6 to 8 inches. Plant site will have full sun.
Questions in the video are, is going from a downward hill to a flat area at the 10' mark going to cause an issue. It's about a 20" downward slope, roughly 45 degree angle to flat land. Is 15' wide enough or should I train to follow the soil, plant is allowed to go onto the grass. And would growing an extra at the bottom 40' facing back towards the main cause an issue, the plant will be used for pollination then pulled. Any other advice, or problems you see would be great.

I had to double check but I just read your 2012 diary before you posted and it gave me hope for this year, I was looking for something similar to what I had. Weird.

Cool vid. Looks like a great spot for a biggen. Hill should be no problem they been grown on very steep hills. Friend of mine grows some of his plant on tilled soil, most grows out on grass. Works good for him, he's got the state record.
I just started too. Looks like your on the right track. Have fun

That's cool! Yea, Tom P. at extreme pumpkin store got me 2 nice pumpkins last year. Both in under 300 sq. ft. each.
Go to his web page and call the number on the top right. Not only does he have great product, he uses them all himself and makes the time to talk to you and teach ya how to use them!
Boy are you in for some fun ;)
