Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. I fine them most helpful. Could you show or explain how you can tell when the flower is ready to open the next day?

You can tell by the pedals of the flower. They wil be big and fluffed up and yellow, and somethimes they look like they already are gonno open. Kind of and experience thing, once you seen one or two you know when its gonna happen.
Here is a picture the evenening before opening:

When you feel the top part it wil press in a little bit and bounce back, (dont press to hard) immature flowers wil be harder to the touch. The color is another good indicator, almost completely yellow, as to younger ones being greener.
Hope this helps.

Yes nice job to show the new growers a lil how to.
Twine works well before and after without the need to try and cut that expensive wire tie off. I like to put an old nylon on over the top as a second protection, It keepZ the crawlieZ out, and letZ the flower breath.
Then the same night of pollination......I cut the top of the flower off right under the twine... to let the flower breath..... PapZ taught me this....and since doing it have had great success and reduced aborts.
I am sure many others have a few tweakZ.....to add as well.....thatZ whatZ great about thiZ hobby....

Tina & Frank,
Thanks to both of you for your kindness in showing us the fine art of growing AG's.
I along with I'm sure many many of us here are much further along directly due to your instruction.
Thank you!!

Nice video. Heres an idea for your next video. If possible do one on turning the vine for the pumpkin ? I always worry if I am doing it right. Great job Tina and Frank.
