I have waterhemp and morninglories. What the best way to control the in the pumpkins patch without using a hoe close tonthe plant besides pulling them. That's just no fun at all.

Roundup or generic glyphosate as long as you don't get any on your plants. It takes about a week but it toasts most weeds.

Soak a rag in your preferred weed killer and drag it over the weeds, a small mop would work too.

If you use round up, make sure it only contains roundup and not all those other chemicals. Do not get it near new growth cuz even if the new growth smells it, they are gone also. Use 1 oz per gallon, very weak, Good Luck.

Rubber dish washing glove, with cheap cotton paint glove over it. Dip it in the above solution and wipe.

I buy the plain concentrate...5 oz per gallon...1 -2 applications and there are no weeds until July..just be careful not to spray the plant..not on a windy day...I agreee..in about a week there will be very little left..the second spray is to get what I missed..If you hand weed one application will probably do..

I'm to scared to use weed killer. ever sense wind drift killed my tomatoes. I don't even like it around the house. Elbow grease and a hoe for me.
