Are we done on this pumpkin? I've checked for the last couple of weeks and it remains about 382 lbs. Is it time to say goodbye? And if so, will it keep if I put in a cool dry place?
Sorry I ask so many questions. There is so much more to this than I EVER imaged but I love it. Still have two growing. Fingers crossed.

I'd keep it on the vine as long as possible. If you must cut it, yes, cool and dry. Not on concrete. I stored some for 2 months in an old bedroom last year and they were fine by October.

as far as storing the pumpkins, can you store them on a pallet on a concrete floor, just not directly on the concrete?

Farmer Ben, AG's, do not store well!!! pallet above concrete floor if space is fairly cool, might gain you a few days of (lesser) weight loss!!! but jmho...take it to yer soonly available set of scales!!! Peace, Wayne
