What do others do to keep the pumpkins gaining as the light and temps diminish? I have a 750lb, 52 day pumpkin that I'm hoping to push over 1000 by OCT 8th. Here in MN temps drop fast in September. Our average first frost is September 15.

I foliar feed either Schultz or Miracle Gro tomato food mixed with a little molasses. Higher K to stimulate fruit growth. Some growers don't like these products, but I found that if used in small amounts late in the season they can give slow growing plants a little boost.

Well for 2800 sq feet of remaining plants I use (using 3 gallons water in the stihl) 3 Tbs 0-0-25, 3 Tbs cal-mag, 3 Tbs extreme pumpkin CO2, 1/4 cup neptunes harvest fish/seaweed and 1/4 cup humid acid. The only difference between what I use all season is the addition of 0-0-25 sometime after day 50.
