I am so jealous of the growers back east or places with cooler weather. Its hot here 105-110 temps and all I want to do is grow a small back yard patch for my kids to pick from for the holidays. I have 5 small dills atlantic plants growing and they seem to be ok for now. There about 3 weeks old but I am worried they will get hit by the heat soon. I am shading them for the 2pm afternoon heat but what else can I do to help them make it through. When can I feed them and how much water do they need....?

Shade and mist to bring the heat down.

1-inch a week up north, so if your soil drains well much more water. Always keep the soil moist is a rule.

The low humidity, bright sun may scorch the leaves so shade for the whole plant is probably a must until it starts to cool into the low 90's.

Good Luck
