It is now a bit bigger than a basketball and has stalled. Is there anything I can do to get it growing again or am I done? It is covered to keep the sun off of it.

I fear the same thing on my 1165. It is n day 17 and only grew one inch last night, but is still shiny at 52CC.
Is yours shiny and is it growing at all? What day?

It seems to be shiny, last measurement was 5 days back, took a measurement today and it may have grown 1/2 inch.

There is some wilt during the day, but I keep the ground moist. Iam not trying to grow a world record, but something over 100 lbs to stop the wife and neighbors from laughing, grow them in my front flower bed.

Usually, once the pumpkin has stopped growing it is done for good. There may have been a problem with the main root. Careful watering and fertilizing to the tap roots growing from the leaf nodules by your pumpkin can help add a little bit more weight, but not much if the main root is the issue.

Pops dig down in the dirt about 6 " to see if the dirt is wet or dry. moist on top may not be moist enough down deep.if it is dry put the water to it and see iff that helps..
