I`ve just tested my germination box and have noticed diferent forms of root development after germination. Some are a long fish hook type stem, others are a small cluster of points. Are there any specific root structural patterns I should be looking for right after germination occurs? Thanks, Dom

nope. sometimes the roots are small, stubby and look like a club-hence they call them club roots.no two sprouted seeds probably grow the same root pattern (like us men ---lol )
as long as you got roots and the plant grows , you should be golden. i dont usually fear the seed germinating or the root development although on rare occasions both can happen. i do always pay attention that after the seed leaves are exposed to light that that first true leaf developes.
occasionally a plant does not develop a first true leaf. leaving the plant useless.
always atart extra plants . for your benefit as well as friends who may need them
