How do we get our hands on the seeds from the new record holders?

cld, seeds from the new World Record holders will prbly be a lil tough to get, unless you already have an established relationship w/ them!!! Not to say that they will not be unobtainable (Thanks G, for the terminology)!! I would venture a guess that if you don't already know Mr./or Mrs. 1810, or 291,etc!! that a seed auction here on bp.com is yer best bet!!! Some clubs,(w/seed distribution pkg) might have a foot up, but who knows?? Peace, Wayne
PS...several new state record holders, should be a bit easier to obtain!!!

As Wayne said - but another alternative would be to look at the genetics that grew that pumpkin and look for the same genetic cross in another pumpkin that hasn't grown a world record or wait until the following year and look for seeds from a pumpkin grown off of that seed and crossed with another with the traits you are looking for (ie. there are a lot of pumpkins that were grown this year with the 1725 as either the Female or Male that will be easier to obtain than the 1725 itself - yet still have the genetics to grow a monster)

Well said JD...and I would like to add that if you purchase a seed at an auction here on bp.com...it will help support that grower's group!!! Lots of groups count on/depend on auctions to support their prize structure at their weighoff! cld, prbly several grower groups in yer area also do a seed distribution pkg. (Minimal cost, and you get several seeds!!) (Not real sure where Murphys, CA is??) Peace, Wayne

Best to wait the next year after a world record is set, then you can get seeds from people that grew the world record seeds, these still have the genetics, are more plentiful, and are proven then also.
