Hi,
I'm filling out an information form for the weigh-off and one of the questions is Vine Type (main, side):_________ My question to all of you is, what does that mean?
Thanks!

I'm thinking more about it and I'm wondering if it's asking me if my pumpkin is on the main vine or a side vine. Am I correct?

They are asking if your pumpkin was grown on the main vine, or on a secondary,,,besides that, they will want to know when it was planted in the dirt, when the seed germinated, when it went into the patch, when it was pollinated, how far out on the vine it was,,,for example, if it was on the main, was it 10 ft. from the stump??Other things you need to know is the seed it was, thats the mother or female, the male is the seed it was crossed with,,,good luck!!

oops, they will also want to know how many lobes the female blossom was,,,off the top of my head, I think thats most of what your application at the weigh off will ask for

One more question is Plant Size. Is that the length of the main vine and the length of the side vines. Or the number of side vines?

I think Plant size is square footage.
