I had a crack start a week or so ago and head towards the stem. Now there is a hole at the base of my stem. Just noticed today on the side of my pumpkin a new hole. What is causing this. I have 3 weeks to go and am getting affraid I wont make it . Any suggestions? Thanks

Inconsistent watering and perhaps allowing the fruit to go through extreme temperature variations. Sometimes just being unlucky.

I have holes also and I believe the snails made them.
