When will my pumpkin start to turn orange? Its covered by a shade cloth all the time. Should I remove it soon?

I'd leave it on as long as you can, especially if your weighoff isn't until october. Maybe your pumpkin isn't supposed to turn orange. My pumpkin turned orange a long time ago with full shade coverage.

Don't remove it if it is still growing. It will mature faster. Also, depending on its genetics, it might never turn orange.

once the weather cools in september its healthier for the fruit to be uncovered during the day. covered heavy at night. by doing so if it allows the pumpkins exterior to mature into whatever color it will be.
