Im past day 25 and my big one is at about 165 lbs.I have read that after day 25 give or take you should be putting on about 25 lbs a day? I dont believe that im any where close to this, what can i do? I have been feeding nutri aid,fish/seeweed both as a folier spray and drench feed.I give them lower doses than the instuctions state just to be safe? Should i max out the recommended dose??? Or is there something different i should use??? THANKS BOB..

same here, I had two doing 20 a day for about 4 days now back to 10 or so. It's been mid 80's and humid I thought that is what they liked. I guess that's what the internet does for you gives you too much info to compare yourself to. haha

I didn't get a 25 lb/day until my soil had enough energy to support those daily gains. I'd bury every exposed taproot with a mixture of good compost/seaweed(kelp)/mycorhazzae and (small amount of) postassium. Then, water (1 or 1.5in per week). Aim for healthy plants so make sure your fungicide is applied between 7-10days apart. Fertilize often but at 1/2 the recommended rate.

A lot probably depends on how good you soil is to grow these, how big your plant is, health of plant, watering, etc......
Rybec, how big is your plant and is it the only fruit going on that plant ?
Do you have most of the plant shut down yet ?

Something that I believe that is one of the most important things is, are you using walking boards to get aroud in your patch ? Walking within 15-20 ft of the stump is a big no no. The small, shallow running roots will go that far.

Zappa, not sure of sq footage but main is terminated at 20ft due to a split vine.Yes only one fruit on this plant. And i have terminated all secondarys. The walking board thing is good to know,i have not been walking on them all the time.I will try to stay on them as much as possible.Just discovered that i have PM on all my plants ??

How do you really increase the GROWTH during September? I've been feeding my pumpkins composed horse manure (2-3 lbs. per plant per week) and watering 2x day?
It seems like my biggest Atlantic Giant is "stuck" at about 50 lbs.

To increase growth in September is simple,,,you need to start early on though,,,(Healthy Plant!!!),,,,thats all,,you should not even be fertilizing in September,,most hh would tell you that..
