How long of a time frame do I have to pollinate a female after the flower opens? Say I have a female that looks like it will open the next morning but I can’t be there when it does can I wait until the following morning if I keep it tied up? Or can I do it in the afternoon or evening?

Thanks,
Todd

Before noon..the day it opens is optimal..It only is open to fertilization for a certain time period

I know males pollen won't hold for a day, but not sure about the female. Maybe you can have someone come by?

You could always not tie it up and let the bees do the job for you. If you're not attempting specific genetic crosses then it doesn't matter. If you're just trying to grow a giant pumpkin, let the bees pollinate, I hear they do a good job.
