Because of all the rain we had gotten and all the work I had done tilling my patch, I just planted my plants last week, and they were planted in the mudd basically. I had to plant them when I did, because we had another inch of rain that night. My largest plant is only about 3' long. Other people are getting ready to polinate and mine are just now starting to grow. Any thoughts?

CF, folks that are pollinating at this time of year, are looking for an early pkn...mostly for a State or County Fair, who has their weighoff's early. I am one of those, hoping to have a pkn for Indy St. Fair.(mid August) I pollinated 6/1. If you are looking for an early Oct. weighoff, or a Halloween pkn., you are good to go!!! Hopefull, that you get some dryness, and sunshine, so's you grow a monster!!! Peace, Wayne

Thanks Wayne. I got into this shooting for the NC state record. Then I found out its 400+ lbs heavier than what is published in this book in 2003. Do the state records get scored at the Fairs, the weigh offs, or both?I was told the NC weigh off is Sep. 25 but the fair don't start until Oct. 14th.
