When it comes to burrying my vines, do I just take the soil from the garden and cover them with a couple of inches of soil? Should I add any thing to the soil?

Yes you should take soil that is similar to what the rest of the plant is growing in. It is only necessary to cover the vine at the base of each leaf, and you can usually see a white tap root developing from that area. Some people recommend that you wash the dirt off after a week or so to expose the vine again.

Most people add myco when they bury their vines. Some add rootshield.

Roots will grow from the top of the vine as well so bury the entire vine.
