the seeds i just removed from my unoffical 405 williamson 2009 (1211.5 Timm X 1290 Bowles) were much darker in color than any pumpkin seed i've ever seen. 50% of the seeds started to germinate inside the pumpkin. the 568 seeds i removed Oct.05,2009 look normal. should this be of any concern? i can't find any info on this, thank you.

Sounds like the seeds in the 405 were left in to long...

Kurty, I would not be concerned. If the fruit was in a really sunny spot and was warming up a lot during the day it can cause some seeds to sprout inside. Test a few more seeds when they are dry.
As long as they where not mushy or hollow, you should be good to go.
