I have what appears to be all boy flower blossoms. Is that possible? Is there any type of product out there to make the plants produce female flowers? ALso at what age of the plant should I expect to see any pumpkins? I'm in Florida so I get tons of rain. Everyone has told me I WON'T be able to grow pumpkins here. I'M DERTERMINED. 3rd how often should I use sevin to kill the green worms eating my leaves??? Thanks all your help is appreciated. Joyce

OK, let me see if I can help you . YES there is different ammendments that can inhance the chances of getting more female bloosoms. Not really sure which it is N-P or K. Next you should start seeing female flowers 10 to 15 days AFTER you males have established. You may have something in you soil either too much or too little that's not allowing female's to flurshish. Make sure your doing a soil test, twice a year. On to your next question, the great north west see ALOT and I mean ALOT of rain. I would make sure your patch has good or even GREAT drainage. Next is seven, I would find something else to use. Its cheap and pretty good at killing bugs the problem is that it kill EVERYTHING. I would invest in something else if I could. Hope this helps. SOME o0f the kelp products are very high with gibberellic acid (GA3). High rates of GA3 can cause all male flower.

Using Abscisic Acid (Fruitone) can perform the opposite (all female) effect but the time for this is past us now.
