Hi all I bought two packs of two seperat versions of AGs. Both have developed protrusions on the blossom end. What is it, and how can I prevent this in the future. I am probably going to pull these vines out soon as I see no hope for them. This is my third year for pumpkins, strangly the first year was the best, I grew a 40 pounder. Sid

can you get a pic of the protrusion? AGs keep remants of the flower blossom lobes for the life of the pumpkin. Or is it something else?

Orangeneck I tried to uploade pic's, but my computer and BP's computer did not get along. However I saw several examples of my problem on half a dozen diaries, and they dont seem to be complaining about them. It appears to be a shaft protruding about one half to one and a half inches at the blossom end, and some have the lobes from the flower as you mentioned. thanks Sid
