I think my pumpkins are starting to get downy mildew is there anything i can do for them

I'm using Neem oil because it is biologically based. You can get it at hardware store or gardening store. You mix it in water and spray it on the under side of branches. However I have heard here on the forums that it only works as a proactive approach and won't help once the plant has the problem. It might keep it from spreading but won't save leaves that have it already. You'll probably need to go chemical.
