Every one of my females on 4 different plants have had seeds in the flower. These plants are from different growers. Is it something wrong with my soil. what can I do?

Seems strange. Do you have pictures that you can share? Most growers would just take those flowers off but Thad Starr pollinated his last year and grew a 1,528 pounder off of it. If you don't have any other options try pollinating it and see if something better comes along.

sure sounds like a possible problem in your patch. only a soil or tissue test could possibly shed some light on the problem. it just seems unlikely that four different seeds from four different growers and quite possibly four different areas of the country, would all react the same way unless its was something local to your gardening practices. sometimes in an attempt to gain an edge over the competition growers try a secret seed soak or a new magic bullet spray, or one of several chemical additives promicing increased blooming and growth, will cause this to happen. using excessive amounts of ga-3 (gibberllic acid) could cause this effect as well. pap

This morning on my 1042 Daletas I finally had a 5 lober show up and I pollinated it. Its At about 16' so I hope this is the one for that plant. My other three plants have pumpkins set on them and growing nicely but slow as we dont get those good temps here on the central coast of California.
