Howdy. Obviously people name their pumpkins but has anyone added a theme song while they are being weighed. Our biggest will be named godzilla so obviously it would be fun as hell to play the rock song Godzilla while ours is being weighed at local contest. We are thinking something similiar to professional wrestlers when they come out and have their theme songs hahahaha. That will really add a bit of showmanship to the local weigh off hahaha. I am guessing someone has already done it but we are going to do it for at least one of ours this year - on a boom box hahahaha. Thanks. Steve

i like that... like a batters walk up music or a wrestlers...nice im thinkin dancers some fly girls,the pop and lock. maybe some stage props. yah... get the bling bling out front and center. broom broom the party starter. i like that.

Yep! Exactly. Right now at our local one they just weigh them. Seems sort of boring in comparison. Theme song to Rocky even for one of our pumpkins hahahaha. I mean the contest is fun - don't get me wrong but it does sound fun to take it to the next level hahahahaha. Thanks. Steve

at our sngpg frerichs farm weigh-off we have a three piece band that warms up the crowd for one hr before the weigh-off starts.

once underway the only music we hear is the excitement in the voice of a grower who weighs more that he/she taped or? groans from those who weighed way under what they expected.

lets face it we all think we are going heavy to the charts dont we ?

we do when at all possible like to briefly interview over the pa system each grower as his or her pumpkin is being taken to the scales. i think that is a great tribute to each grower.they all put time and effort into this hobby. its a whole spring-summer and fall of work and investment.
