(no one answered my last post) is growing a sidevine pumpkin as easy as it sounds, just let it grow, then maybe its the stump and main vine, jsut let it be there?

If you are terminating the main what you want to do is terminate just after the side vine that you are going to train into the new main. Basically what you will want to do is slowly bend the side vine until it is pointed in the right direction over a few days. After 4-5 days you won't even know that it wasn't the origional main. I had to do that last year after I lost the main on my plant due to hail damage.
