TOP TEN REASONS MY PUMPKIN DIDN'T MAKE THE WEIGH-OFF
10. Used main vine to spell out 'PUMPKIN GROWERS RULE' in 5 foot letters but it took entire growing season.
9. Gave my pumpkin daily pep talks, turns out my pumpkin thought I was nagging.
8. Bought 'secretspraysauce' on the pumpkin underground, turned out to be mostly mayonase.
7. Was told good things come in small packages.(wrong)
6. Used coopertone SPF 300 for sun protection.
5. Made homemade fish emulsion by boiling down Gordon's Fishsticks.
4. Thought MERIT was a badge I'd get at end of season.
3. GERM-I-NATION I soaked my seeds in bleach to kill that Nation of Germs but for some reason my seeds didn't sprout.
2. Elmeer Fudd wasn't availiable to get those Waskly Wabblits.
1. The advanced alien civilization that provided your seeds didn't visit my house.

Great to see you have a good sense of humor on your growing efforts Mary. Just don't beat yourself up because you may not get a thousand pounder this year. Have fun like myself and learn as you go.

These are a riot!

Other half decided to help me out when he was spraying the lawn for weeds with the 2-4-D and emptied the sprayer on my 'organic weed windbreak' along the patch edge...and didn't notice which way the 40mph wind was blowing right over the vine....

Neighborhood kids fed vines stump remover goo.

My dog ate all the mychorazea, although she hasn't been sick in weeks..

Pumpkin eaten by Godzilla's arch enemy, mothra. By the way , Mothra was not a moth, it was actually a giant squash vine borer.

The Fonz told me growing pumpkins was for nerds. { what could I say? }
