i just noticed that one leaf on my smaller plant has holes in it about 10 and there a little yellow???????? the only bugs around seem to be ants on front porch i guess theres ones u cant see?????????? anybody know good all around pestiside i should start with?????? pizza my big plant is fine hope they dont jump over to it! thanks pizza

Ants in NJ don't feed on pumpkins.
Could be slugs. Are there slime trails?
Could be caterpillars. Are the hols irregular & rounded?
Could be birds. Are the holes angular?

Can you post an image?

its been pretty windy hear in jersey 20-25 ne and i need a stroger wind barrier i think its from movement its only one leaf, what is so bad about angular spot ??????? thanks pizza

Use bamboo tomato stakes about 16" long. Cross 2 so they intersect above the vine (or leaf stalk). You can add enough tension so the wind stops blowing those leaves into whatever has been tearing those holes. The same method can be used with the intersection below a vine or leaf stalk to raise the offending part.
