Well this is my first year growing the giants, so I expected something like this to happen. I think when I planted them, I positioned them wrong. Worst case scenario, I have to turn one plant 90 degrees in the other direction. I'm thinking this can be done slowly over a week's time?

Just train the main to grow the way you want it to go. It may take a few days once the main starts going, but It can be done with few problems.

It is possible to flip vines over but it's a risky proposition. Digging it up is even worse. I agree with Iowa. Traing the vine back the other way.

I did the same thing last year, and it looks like I have 1 plant doing it this year as well. I make a long curve and point it back where it belongs.

Yep, curve it around and you'll be fine. Might have to do a little creative secondary placement and trimming is all.

lis, do your vine movements during the warm part of the day, if possibe...cold makes for brittle vines...snappage can, and does occur!!! Be careful, a lil each day!!! Peace, Wayne

I am having the same issue. I am having to turn the plant 180 degrees. I did the first stake for the first turn today. http://www.midnightgardenerblog.com/forum/m-1237731981/s-all/
