My growing area is very small, approx 25' wide by 40' long.So, i'm only putting 2 plants in, one at each end, except i am concerned that if something happens to one of the plants then I am only left with one plant and I don't want to self pollinate.Now, I could put two plants at each end but at what point do I cull? I can't let them go too far because space is the issue.

you are doing it right so id change nothing. if you really are worried about not having a pollinator just grow a pollinator plant in a large container and if needed you could get male flowers from that if needed.

I am in the same situation my growing area is the same size, I have plants at both ends and one in the middle. My pollinator is in the end of the main garden. It will be tight this year.

I THINK ITS POSSIBLE TO GROW A POLLINATOR "BUSH" BY JUST GROWING THE BASE AND ALLOWING THE FLOWERS TO FORM AT THE BASE AREA ONLY ? ELIMINATE THE NEED TO ACTUALLY DO ANY WORK OR ALLOCATE SPACE TO THE POLLINATOR PLANT.

I don't plan to keep the pollinator after I set fruit, I'm not going to spend a lot of time or effort on it. And I plan to prune it back quite a bit.

It will come out and make room for Corn and green beans. :)
