Having problems, it has been four days and nothing is happening. I put the seeds in pots just like in dicks tips said to do and then placed them in a home made greenhouse on the window sill. And keeping a light on them at night but not one plant has really shown any growth.

Normal ! if temperature ( i have made the same mistake ) is not high enough it take more days to sprout ( thanks Deb ) , i have planted 2 seeds on the 25 th April and nothing for the moment, but if you look, small roots are there, just take a germination chamber at 30°C , after the first true leaf, you can slow the temperature as your outside weather, good luck from France.

Those pots ust be 85-90 degrees F at all times. That might be a tall order for a widow sill.

I have lights above them and it's plenty warm enough but five plants have shown no action. How long should I wait before trying a new set of seeds. When should I worry? Thanks

if it were me i would take a CAREFUL look at the seeds, carefully scrape some of the mix off the top until you see the seed or the stem, if you see the stem starting to come up bury it back and wait another day or two. if no stem look for a root starting at the pointed tip of the seed.

yes, I first soaked the seeds in warm water and a little bleach. Then with plain moist seed mix in 4" peat pots with holes in them. I think my temperature was not consistent. But I lost the seed that steve connolly sent me.
