I had taken out all the seeds, cleaned them, layed them out for two days. I then put them in a air tight plastic container, two days later everyone of them had mold growing on them. I then took them and layed them on a towel outside for 2 weeks. I now know how to dry seeds, they are dry and have a little flaky dried skin peeling off like they are suppose to. I also opened a few and they look just fine.

It generally takes two weeks of indoor drying at room temp.

Don't try to dry them outdoors either. Squirrels & other hungry critters will eat them. Indoor drying racks of quarter inch hardware cloth, fans & possibly a dehumidifier for at east 2 weeks.

Even indoors the mice can get them. I use two screens one on top of the seeds too.

I ended up using a towel layed out covered by another towel, outside 2nd floor on a porch.

Old window screen in frame propped up in my bathtub (the one bathroom with tub nobody wants to use it's so uckky-one of those slap a dab of this together to make it look like a nice bathroom to sell this hovel-jobs) and stir/flip every few hours for those first few days. And yeah, about 2-3 weeks in drying. Don't forget to marker the weight on the seeds and it's nice to add the year!
