How many pumpkins will a plant usually have?, one of my pumpkins, now the 107 Brouillard (1161 Holland x Bees) (don't know if it will take after its father and will be able to fly yet) had 22 pumpkins before I culled them, and that was in a flag pattern, I had to cut the side vines because of lack of room, I think there would of been more. I think the azomite, sea 90, and higromite might of helped. Also seed count? whats a common amount, 2-500? I had 478 in my 107 pound pumpkin, thanks

I pollinated 30 pumpkins on one plant(none of them took) and it had about 10 open pollinations. I finally pulled the plant last week.

prolific little devil wasn't it! At $3.00 per jack-o-latern I think you should have let all 22 pumpkins on the vine!I have a few plants that keep open pollinating and I consider anything past August 15th to be nothing but a jack-o-latern! If I don't have a 200 pounder on the plant before August 15th, I am growing for Halloween!

It was the 1048 Rahe (1450 Wallace x self) every pumpkin on it aborted. I had a plant do that last year as well 1105 Glasier (1068 Wallace x sib) While the 1450 and 1105 were the same cross one grew 1000+lbs and the other nothing but lettuce. This year the 1018 VanHook (1450 Wallace x self) grew my biggest(genetic plant) and my 1048 grew nothing but lettuce.

As a matter of fact they were in the exact same spot. Soil test was normal what else should I be looking for?

Soil test won't show up with pathogens. Need a fresh tissue sample....At what size were the pumpkins aborting. Careful you don't use the same tools in both patches...if it is a pathogen it is easily spread.
