I have been keeping them covered the last 3 weeks, 40 and 34 days old, today I noticed they are turning more orange. Is this about the right time? Thanks

it depends on how orange they will be in the end, some never turn, if they are going to turn, the more orange they will be the sooner they will start turning.

I have an orange one that has been covered but it came from an orange mother, it is pretty orange already.

Keep it covered and enjoy

Yes one more week and they should be ready for pumpkin pies!

Like gary says the more orange they finish the earlier they begin to turn.
