Some thoughts on your garden I'm totally new at this as well. Here in Maine we have had lots of rain and fog not great weather for crops great for problems. youre tomatoes have early blight really common this year I have it badly as well I sprayed them with the same stuff I spray my pumpkins with for powdery mildew FUNG-OINL made by Bonide. Of course I have to do this when it is sunny and thats been a while. I will save some of the plants at least for a while but no question Tomatoes are going to be in short supply this year.
Just a hint for all gardeners make sure you take advantage of your state ag department. I got a simple soil test done and learned a lot what to add and how much. The y are also at some of the country fairs here and the guy last year was great he talked for an hour with me about aall sorts of farming stuff. Plus your taxes are paying these guys so use them all you can.
Ive got two pumpkins going nothing huge but pretty big and found splits in each this morning. one's probably gone but the better pumpkin is just a little weepy. I did the captian patch on each. Fingers crossed. Glad I kepted two big boys to work with. The better one in on a side branch but it's a better looking and bigger. I'll keep both for a while more. Check your stems and stem ends carefully It took a realy good look to find the splits. a few days more and the one would be toast.
