I have been cutting the tap roots close to every fruit I have set.I've been cutting about whatever taps there are within approx 16 inches on each side of every fruit. Some tap roots I've been cutting are directly under the stem of the fruit. Is this ok? I don't see any other way to raise the vines as the fruits get larger.

you may need to cut more as you go, like way more if you don't have a lot of slack in your vine
