Hi. I am getting good growth right now - or good for my first year - about fourteen pounds per pumpkin with one pumpkin each on two plants. i have been spraying with miracle grow once a week and also put bat guana around stump area. this is my first year and all the advice i have gotten has kept my plants alive and growing hahahahaha - dispite me hahaha. here is question. what are some good fertilizers to switch too and things like this. we are in a very warm climate up until contest in late october. thank you very much in advance. steve

If you are using Miracle Gro, when the growth starts to slow down you can switch to the Tomato formula. It has higher potash which might perk up the growth. If you use it too early it can ripen the fruit too soon. Schulz also makes a soluable tomato food that will work also.

you can buy a bottle of 0-0-30 water soluable or apply 2 pounds per plant once every three weeks of 0-0-50 granular usually sold at better garden centers in 5 pound bags by the epsoma company
